Deneen has over 20 years of experience empowering others through coaching & development, championing Diversity & Inclusion, and creating leadership, career and personal growth opportunities. She attributes much of her success to the art of relationship (team) building, prioritizing professional development, and the investment of others as mentors. Deneen has also created several panels and is a skilled speaker and moderator.

During Deneen’s 5+ years in corporate Diversity & Inclusion (10+ years overall), she leveraged talent acquisition, employee development, and sponsorship initiatives on behalf of marginalized employees to hire, promote and provide exposure and visibility.

She also co-founded an Inclusion Council and led projects impacting 250,000+ employees. As a Talent Development professional and corporate lead for the Women of Color (WOC) Leadership Development Program for high-performing/high-potential WOC, Deneen launched an enterprise-wide continuous learning and employee/social engagement platform and up-skilled allies and advocates for WOC. Deneen designed the strategy and rolled out programming to strengthen the long-term capabilities of WOC. 

This has positioned Deneen as a Thought Leader in Diversity & Inclusion and Talent Development and specifically as it relates to WOC.

Deneen is also the Creator & Host of the Women of Color: An Intimate Conversation (formerly An Intimate Conversation with Women of Color) Podcast, which she launched in 2020. Deneen is also a women’s empowerment speaker, published author, LinkedIn Creator, a long-time board member of the Detroit Community Sailing Center, and a founding member/past board member of The Gathering Spot Detroit Community.
